Georgina Hobson

Georgina is pursuing a Doctorate of Philosophy with research that aims to identify the role of mHealth in facilitating dementia awareness and support with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. To ensure Indigenous expertise is embedded into this project, Georgina will build on the established collaborative relationships between key Indigenous stakeholders and the Centre for Online Health at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.  

Georgina also works part-time as a Senior Research Technician to support several of the Centre for Online Health Research Fellows. Previsoulsy, she has fulfilled several health promotion roles including: Project management of a new corporate wellness program for an international food company; Health and nutrition Project Officer; Health and wellness co-ordinator at a health retreat; and delivery of health services through several Brisbane Divisions of General Practice (now PHNs). She also has professional experience in marketing and communications, research support and data analysis, writing and publishing.
