Adel Panahi

Métis Nation - Saskatchewan

Adel’s background is in public administration, with more than 15 years of experience in community empowerment, policy development, strategic planning, and community health promotion. He received his Master of Political Studies in 2003 and since then started his career in Youth engagement, community empowerment, and participatory research. He continued working in different levels of public sector and non-governmental organizations developing strategies and policies to promote health and wellbeing of marginalized communities. In 2013, he graduated from Johnson-Shoyama School of Public Policy, University of Saskatchewan and since then he’s been working in Saskatchewan in the fields on budge planning, policy analysis, community health and well-being, Indigenous health, health systems improvement, and community based research. He is passionate about community empowerment, health promotion, participatory policymaking, and Indigenous health and culture. He started working with Métis Nation Saskatchewan in 2018 as the Director of Health and is committed to promoting health and wellbeing of Métis citizens in Saskatchewan
