Kate Conigrave

Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney

Kate is an addiction medicine and public health physician.  She cares for patients with alcohol and other drug problems at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and at the Aboriginal Medical Service, Redfern.  Kate’s has worked in partnership with Aboriginal agencies and health professionals for over 15 years. Her research focuses on preventing and treating alcohol and other drug problems. Kate is joint Director of the NHMRC-funded Centre of Research Excellence: Indigenous Health and Alcohol. She has acted as consultant for the World Health Organization and has received the Senior Scientist award from the Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol and other Drugs.
