Sylvia Hussey

Townsville Aboriginal & Islander Health Service

Sylvia Hussey is an Indigenous Warragmay women born in Tuncurry, North West Queesnland. She has spent most of her time in Hughenden working for QLD Health for 26 years in roles including Indigenous Health worker, assistant in nursing and dental assistant. Since moving to Townsville she's worked for Townsville Aboriginal & Isander Service (TAIHS) in school health promotion, screening kids ears in local catholic schools. Sylvia has recently taken on the challange of Indigenous Research Officer at TAIHS implementing the WATCH & INFLATE childhood ear trials in partnership with Western Sydney University.
