Dr Janet Kelly is a nurse researcher who works collaboratively with Aboriginal community members and health and research professionals in urban, rural and remote areas to improve health care experiences. Over the last 10 years she has co-developed a range of Aboriginal patient journey mapping tools and case studies that identify specific barriers and enablers to care. These are now being used nationally and internationally in clinical, education and research settings to help facilitate clinically and culturally safe care. Over recent years, Janet has worked with Aboriginal consumers and thier family members and health professionals toward improving kidney care.
